Bur'I is both the name of a people group and a country.

==History==
Bur'I has one of the longest recorded histories in the [[known worlds]], with a direct royal line claiming to go back more than 1,000 generations.

===Modern Bur'I===
Today, Bur'I is a constitutional monarchy consisting of eighteen major star systems and thirty-three minor, including 79 worlds total. A minor, backwater country by inter-stellar standards.

Though officially part of the [[Alliance]], Bur'I is in a region of space too remote to participate fully. Many of the countries in the surrounding region are not members of the Alliance, having formed more recently and chosen not to join. because of it's remote location, Bur'I does not recieve millitary support from the Alliance and must maintain it's own boarders.

This is why Bur'I is perhaps best known for it's space navy, who's ten capital-class ships are probably the only active vessels in the verse able to go blow-for-blow with a [[GS]] [[Ship Classes#Capital Ship|battleship]]. No other political entity in the region has managed to build such large or heavily armed warships.

Bur'I's military owes it's success to twelve FTL drives purchases as surplus from the [[Gudersnipe Foundation]] during the [[Ages#The Third Age|Third Age]]. Two of them have since been lost; but the other ten, carefully maintained, continue to serve Bur'I more than 3,000 years later.

===Old Bur'I===
During the [[Mage Wars]], Bur'I existed as a dramatically smaller nation on one of the [[flat dimensions]]. They had inhabitted that region since the [[Age of Darkness]], and sometime during that timeframe changed from the old [[Clans#The Lion Clan|Lion clan]] to Bur'Ians.

===Ancient Bur'I===
According to Bur'Ian tradition, they're roots can be traced clear back to the [[Empire of Roads]].

==Wilderness Areas==
Because Bur'I is a largely populous world with nearly eight billion inhabitants and a lengthy history of industrialization, there are few natural areas left. Nearly every inch of the planet has, at one time or another, been incorporated.

The government has a long history of buying back public land and saving it for later resale(sometimes holding it for centuries) as a way of helping to regulate prices. These parcels are left untouched and any developments on them allowed to crumble, so these areas(sometimes thousands of aches) often become wilderness areas at least for a time.

Several national parks are designated wilderness areas, maintained by a park service and generally kept up by the Bur'Ians themselves. These parks are managed, include trails, campsites, and other recreational facilities, but a general sense of preservation is always maintained. The public in general adheres to notions of 'leave no trace' and takes good care of their unspoiled patches of nature.

===Hunting and Fishing===
Commercial fishing essentially stopped being a thing around the mid [[Ages#The Second Age|Second Age]] when fish hatcheries proved a much more effective and renewable prospect. Recreational fishing continues to be quite popular, as the ocean fish population is very plentiful thanks to a lack of commercial harvesting. Freshwater fishing mostly takes place on recreational lakes where fish are stocked from commercial hatcheries, fishing in wilderness areas is strictly controlled.

Hunting by contrast, is very uncommon. Most wilderness areas are also designated wildlife refuges, and completely off-limits to hunters. A general lack of undeveloped land leads to a dearth of game animals. Hunting of apex-predators is completely forbidden as they are so rare in nature, and even common game animals see very little hunting activity. It is just, in general, an insupportable activity.

====Stalking====
Without available animals to support actual hunting, the practice of stalking has become popular over the years. It consists primarily of animal-tracking and identification, some stalkers include photography to create a reasonable trophy. Essentially, all of the elements of hunting without the actual kill.

==Monarchy==
The Bur'Ian royal line is the oldest in the [[Known Worlds]] and goes clear back to the beginings of recorded history, during the [[Age of Darkness]]. In fact, Bur'Ian written records are the oldest in the verse, and have been used to set the chronology for much of modern understanding.

The monarchy is an unbroken bloodline going back all the way to the edge of [[Antiquity]], and is governed by strict rules of succession. The crown passes through the bloodline only, so that each successive reigning monarch is a direct descendant of the original king.

===Rules of Succession===
The first recorded monarch was crowned king in his own right; however from the get-go, the monarchy was reguarded as equal-opportunity. The succession is from first-born-to-first-born, meaning the first child born to the reigning monarch will be the next monarch.

====The Crown====
Bur'Ian tradition acctually records succession according to the prince or princess. Once the first-born of the reigning monarch reaches adolescence, they are crowned. It is the crowned prince or princess that will be the next monarch(if a crowned prince had a younger brother, he would still be a prince, but not the crowned prince). The passing of prince to king(or princess to queen) is not a particularly major event and often goes un-noticed.

This is because, especially in the early days, succession happened only through death. Meaning, for the prince to become king, his father had to die. According to the law, the crowned prince became king the instant his father died, so long as he had already been crowned by this time. Thus, the celebration of the ascension of a new king would also be celebrating the death of the old king.

Instead, it is the crowning of a new prince or princess that gets all of the fanfair. It is the next monarch, not the current ruler, that is celebrated.

In more recent times(after the Bur'Ian relocation and the end of the [[Mage Wars]]), the throne often passes while the old monarch is still alive. Though

===Pages and Squires===
The crown of Bur'I has sole ability to apoint and maintain two key positions: that of Royal Page and that of Royal Squire. Both titles descended from the early days of the kingdom but in modern times held very different meanings.

====Page====
The Royal Page is usually a child of at least ten years of age, often indigent or an outright orphan, selected by the a crowned prince, princess, king, or queen. They serve primarily as an attendant or companion, a confidant.

Most Pages would later go on to become Squires, others would lead normal lives or even be appointed to other positions within the government. Having served as a page is often seen as a highly desirable experience for many industries.

As Bur'I progressed into more modern times and sensabilities about education and child welfair evolved, the practice of pages fell heavily out of favor. "Part-time" pages might be appointed from among the servant's children in the palace, but they did not have the same sort of roles or responsibilities of the pages of old.

The practice would come in and out of favor many times over the eons, always in question bot in favor and against.

====Squire====
The position of Squire holds signficantly more important, and has often been more accurately described as "agent of the crown". Squires report directly to the royal who appointed them and have many roles throughout the kingdom. As observers, agents, and even just direct ataches to the crown.

==That Document I have on Bur'I==
Bur’I is… a land of contradictions.

As the only known monarchy to pre-date the Mage Wars with a completely unbroken line, the kingdom of Bur’I is somewhat famous throughout the known worlds. However, lacking a GATE hub and being fairly distant, they don’t get a lot of tourism.

Bur’I is a constitutional monarchy, the thrown has no actual political power but is a very important symbol for the Bur’Ian people. Most of Bur’I’s people love their king, and will cheer and shout and throw flowers when the royal family goes on parade. Some of the less loving citizens… will throw grenades.

While the king has no actual power, he plays a very important ceremonial role in the government by opening and closing sessions and appearing before the public. The king is also highly respected and has a voice. When he speaks on a certain issue, at the very least he will be heard.

Additionally, there are many positions of prominence over which the democratic government has no control. Specifically the offices of Royal Page and Royal Squire. In days long past when Kime the Great was queen and Bur’I truly came into it’s own as a nation, she retained a squire as her trusted confident. He would deliver messages and personally oversee tasks which the queen had deemed important. Similarly, Kime retained a page to be her personal companion and friend.

Squires are traditionally in their mid to late twenties but can maintain the position for a lifetime. It is rare that older people are appointed as squires, but not unheard of. Squires are the eyes and ears of the crown, serving the direct interests of the crown.

Unlike the position of squire, pages begin at a much younger age, usually in their early teens. Also unlike a squire, a page will not retain their position past the age of twenty. It is not uncommon for pages to later be appointed as squires, however it is not guaranteed. A page is usually appointed by, and loyal to, a specific member of the royal family. Either the king, queen, or a crowned prince or princess. Other members of the royal family may not appoint pages or squires. The duties of the page include doing ‘gofer’ work for the royal they serve. Go for this; go for that, though usually within the palace proper. They are also there to provide companionship; a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to. They are also often used in an advisory fashion to help the royal obtain a different perspective on a situation. Since pages are often by the side of the royal they serve, they get to see everything from an objective standpoint.

Interestingly enough, pages are fairly uncommon compared to squires. Every king or queen will have at least a dozen squires(the squires have to travel to other planets within the kingdom to open and close sessions of the senate on the king’s behalf) but it is not uncommon for the position of page to go unfilled for several generations. The squires are very necessary to the proper running of the kingdom, but the position of page is mostly ansilary, left over from the time of Kime but not removed from the constitution because it is, after all, one of Kime’s laws. And the people do so love Kime.

Often pages are named simply as a royal favor to the families of wealthy people. They carry out no actual duties and often never even meet the king. This practice is frowned on, however, because it disrespects what was once a very important position.

The Bur’Ian line is governed by a very strict rule of succession. The crown is passed from first born to first born. Since the time of Kime, women in Bur’I have enjoyed equal status with men, and thus the queen is considered fully equal to the king. Bur’Ian’s love their pageants, and have many intricate customs and ceremonies regarding the royalty. The members of the royal family (and those closely associated with them) understand that the Bur’Ian people don’t want to see their monarchs as human, but as the idealized beings they have been made out to be for millennia. As such, being a member of the royal family is less like leading a nation, and more like playing a part on a sitcom. Carefully staged ‘events’ are often arranged to allow members of the royal family to do something that makes them look good, all to enhance the public’s opinion of them.

As part of the rule of succession, the name Bur’I is always maintained. As such when a woman becomes the rightful air, whoever she marries must take her name. the current king is Caleb Bur’I, who took the Bur’I name when he married Princess Tadashe Bur’I, the 998th crowned heir to the thrown. She died giving birth to a son, Jason Bur’I, who is the 999th crowned heir.

Caleb Bur’I is not a particularly great king. He described being king as ‘about a two hour a day desk job’. He is in his early fifties and spends much of his time on leasirue activities, namely reading. He is very well read, having spent pretty much the last 20 years reading and a good chunk of his life before that. He is knowledgeable and articulate when it comes to matters of philosophy, science, history, economics and similar subjects, but tends to freeze up whenever anyone tries to get him to make a real decision. He is not crazy or even a little bit strange; he is just a quiet, even-tempered old man.

Nita Bur’I is the current queen, Caleb’s second wife. Nit is the daughter of a wealthy aristocrat and her family has been ‘friends of the crown’ for many generations. She was once Tadashe Bur’I’s best friend. Now though she is quite an unpleasant individual, ‘taking up the strain’ as she describes it for her husband’s lack of leadership. Nita’s role as queen however seems to be mostly geared towards her own interests, as well as the interests of the aristocracy.

She has two children from a previous marriage, Dora and Laden. Both are completely spoiled. Caleb secretly hates both of them, but is too much of a nice person to show it openly; however he would never intercede on someone else being mean to them. Dora is a mean-spirited, pudgy girl concerned primarily with getting her own way. Laden is a bit more fit than his sister, though two-years younger, and firmly believes that he should be the crowned prince. Though according to Bur’Ian law, neither of them has any official standing, they are often referred to as prince and princess. Jason, who spent much of his childhood terrorizing them, is not above quoting exact passages from the legal code explaining in great detail why neither of them is ever, will ever, or could ever be royalty. Jason is not a nice person.

On Bur’I things are an awkward mix of technological advancement and regression. Millennia ago the Bur’Ian people possessed great scientists who made many advanced discoveries. These discoveries eventually led to Bur’I making contact with other technologically advanced cultures who were often willing to sell these advancements at a price. As a result, Bur’I posses several technologies which they did not invent, and no matter how long you study some things for, without earning the knowledge yourself it is impossible to fully understand them.

Take Bur’I’s military fleet of capitol-class ships. They have been using the same FTL drives for thousands of years. Not the same technology, the same physical drives. Bur’I possesses the means to service and maintain this technology, but lacks the fabrication facilities needed to build large-scale FTL drives.

Further still, the FTL technology used in Bur’I and the regions around it is incredibly archaic. The entire kingdom is only a few dozen light years across yet it takes a ship six weeks to go from one end to the other.

She is 5 feet tall on the dot, raven black hair that’s always cut half way to her elbow with her bangs hanging in her eyes at a swooshy angle, and she usually has her hair tied back in a ponytail when working or if its hot. Her eyes are round, large and a very distinct Cobalt blue. Lily is described with the body of a ten year old, with her pencil thin frame she looks like you could easily snap her on two. Oh and she’s a werewolf, long dark brown fur with brindle highlights and bright yellow eyes.

Eventually, Lily was sold to the Gudersnipe Foundation, who had been attempting for some years to obtain a [[Lycanthrope]] for study(the Foundation was led to believe that Lily was a lycanthrope, the loupe garoux being considered a myth at the time). The task of examining her fell to [[Jason Bur'I]], who quickly ascertained that she was not a lycanthrope and qualified as a sentient life-form. As she could not be experimented on, he used his connections within the organization to have her sent home to [[Bur'I]] to live with his father.

==Bur'I==
Lily spend her teen years and most of her twenties living first as a Royal Page and later as a Squire to the king of [[Bur'I]].

==Escape from Bur'I==
Lily, along with [[Caleb Bur'I]], [[Nyah Higimie]], and her dog, Atlas, escaped Bur'I aboard a [[Star Hammer#Series IV|Star Hammer Series IV]]. Since none of them knew how to properly pilot the craft, they simply aimed it out of the solar system and left the engines running. The passengers experienced extreme time-dilation, and were rescued over three thousand years later, at the end of the [[Long Night]].

==Marriage==
On the eve of the [[Battle of the New Day]], Lily married [[Joshua Jusenkyou]] in a hasty ceremony aboard the [[Saratoga]]. The wedding was officiated by [[Hunter Jusenkyou]] and [[Caleb Bur'I]] gave away the bride. Jason was also present, and reportedly he cried a little.

After successfully surviving the battle, Lily and Joshua moved to [[Moon Garm]] to begin a life together.

While on Moon Garm, Lily began a carrier in law enforcement and eventually became chief of police for her local precinct.

Fine I wont keep roling the page back and fine but she still gets to kick some ass! ;P

I think what happened is the First Age history has gotten a lot more developed since last we spoke( i now have like 10 Pendragons!). The Ten were kind of a big deal, and were all highly revered throughout their entire lives, it wouldn't work to have one of them mysteriously disapear.

Ok, how about this for a compromise? She was one of The Ten before they were The Ten, basically one of Uther's seconds. She left, he replaced her with someone else, and then they became The Ten. Sound good?

Well thats the fun thing about the course books history as its presented: things are left out, things are revised, in all its a very realistic presentation of a history. Normal story-worlds with this much history treat it all as absolutes, as though there was a scribe at every event dutifully recording the entire thing. The Course Books act like history just sort of happened, and later on people tried to piece it together(which is more like real history). So things get mentioned in the actual books and stories that aren't know to history, such as the loup garoux being involved in the long march(there were only like 6 of them at the time, just so ya know).

Only six? Yeesh that sucks but that would explain a little of why they dont have massive numbers across the multivers. being a werewolf is a domanent genetic trait, only on a few vary rare occations are a loup Garoux's kid not a werewolf, like Cileans kid thats related to Hunter.

When the first generation were created, the intent was that they would die in battle. There were only like 30 of them and 24 were killed, when Cilean made them she never expected any of them to survive, hence why there are so many problems with the loup garoux and why they have to do all these things in order to stay alive.

Be nice! They're a vary delicate species thats all, Cileans only human she couldnt have thought far ahead enough to get all the kinks out ;P

But thats kind of a very important plot-point, though. The whole thing was done very hastily on the eve of battle, the assumption being that the warriors were not going to survive until morning. That's why the loup garoux need to hunt and have some other problems, they were initially a very temporary solution. Untold thousands of years later when the villians of the Consection Books start making people with the same magic, they don't know about the balance issues, and thats part of how Jason eventually wins!

Lily would take temporary solution as an insult, lol that could make a fun conversation, especailly when she gets all upset when she's not consitered human.

It was suppsoed to be this big huge brave "we're sacrificing ourselves to help you win!" sort of thing, its just they ended up being so good that some of them didn't die.

So are there rules to things that you ''cant'' do with magic? Like in harry potter you cant bring people back to life or create matter just the illusion of matter? I'm curious cuz Becca is a big magic user, she catches onto it pretty easily, teenage girls know how to get their minds to ''need'' something, we're naturally good at that :)

There are ultimately no limitations but some things are way more complex than others. Bringing someone back from the dead, for example, is really hard and basically only works if they've been dead for a fairly short while. If you recal Joshua did it in one of the novellas. You CAN create matter, but it is considered basically the hardest thing you can possibly do(Becca CAN'T do it, no arguments). I thnk Hunter manages to do it a grand total of once and he invented zero-point magic. Naomi never gets that far and she's considered more powerful than Hunter.

Signficantly easier than making matter is transforming it, turning one thing into another. There's simple transmutation(turning led into gold), and then more complicated stuff, like turning a broomstick into a sword. That's what Naomi is really good at.

You CAN create life with magic but again it is extremly difficult. Pay attention to the Hawk in The Next Progression. It also generally doesn't work out that well.

Anyway, Becca can be good, but not too good. Naomi was a kind of once-in-history level of mage that just doesn't happen real often.

I think Cilean and Naomi would be fun to have a conversation together, Cilean being one of the first people to learn magic as i recall you saying. and Cilean helps with teaching Becca magic. Hunter opens soda cans, Naomi turns books into birds and Cilean turns dudes into dogs what should becca be able to do?

Lily would be ok with the hole animal brain in a robot if she knew it was just a genetically grown brain not like having to kill a puppy or something. YOU CoULD PLAY FECH WITH IT! you think catmech and a lazer pointer is fun imagin a dog mech chaseing its tail!! also he could probably make it out of a kind of metal that would be ok for the werewolves. You mentioned that Mech fighting is somewhat like a sport, I betcha Becca would be good at that. Hunters awsome at it and so is Lily (although we still havent done anything with that, maybe Hunter intoduces her to mech fighting on an off world trip when shes still with Hunter and Jason living on bur'I and she totally whips Hunter butt :)) so I mean genetically speaking she should be pretty darn good at it. and they probably dont play too many ball sports ( too much animal instinct may get kids into fights lil) so I could see mech fighting being a good oprotunity. And if humans have boxing and wresteling wouldnt the wolves have it too? That would be interesting, three different devisions, full human, full wolf, and one where they're allowed to shift freely. That could be fun! I'm trying to work on giving them more of a common culture, more things to do. I'll continue on a moon garm page.

In the original draft before Harrison or Conri or whatever we're calling him now was invented, Becca was going to become a hardcore techie. But that was in an iteration of the story where there wasnt really anything happening after the conclusion of the Course Books. Now I'm not sure how well it would fit into the Next Progression. I have some neat ideas, though, let me see. Well I suppose I should finally admit that the animal-type mechs borrow heavily from the show Zoids, but enough liberties exist to get away with it. Joshua would never do actual brain inside a machine(he's had a bad experience with it) but like the Rion Project involved copying an actual brain into a computer. It would definitely be interesting to do it with a wolf!

As for the other stuff, I don't really think fighting would be very popular on Moon Garm. See, in wolf-form you can really badly injur someone pretty easily, I don't think that sort of thing would take off. I always picture the place as being fairly serene, with an overt emphasis on NOT getting into violent alterications. Then again, there's that whole sub-plot where drugs get introduced, hmmm. Well we'll work on it.

Although that IS how wolves play, they play fight ( we call it rasseling just because it sounds nicer) all dogs do it, its not really like they want to hurt each other they get a little mouthy liek they pretend to bite the other one but they actually dont, dogs do it all the time, mine even do sometimes.

As he grew, his stunts became more elaborate. He dabled in magic, though used his abilities in primarily positive ways. Arson, not so much. He would often run away from home, sometimes for days or weeks at a time, and even made a game of eluding search parties and other attempts to find him.

Primary protagonist of the [[Consecution Books]].

He goes by Jason for the entire series, because he doesnt want to get made fun of for being a [[werewolf]] named Harrison.

His name is still disaprooved by the second party ;P we really have to be able to do better then Harrison!

Actually the Harrison thing is a running joke throughout the Consecution books [[Aden Jusenkyou|Aden]] and [[Jan]] tease him about it on a regular basis. Harrison or Harry is a popular name on [[Moon Garm]] but not so much everywhere else.

Well we cant call him Harry, then I'll get REALLY confused! why cant we name him something else that could have fun werewolf related puns?

I'm certainly open to suggestions!

I'm having dificulty findng names with dog puns but can we call him something cooler then Harison? I keep thinking Ford, I always kind of wanted to name him Arthur but there was already an Arthur, then I like Henery but we already have a Henery! The Name Willaim is always super badass... I googled badass boy names and an interesting one was Alec, thats a pretty cool one and I can spell it!

Problem with Alec is we already have an Aden. Too repetitious! Ford kinda reminds me too much of the noted anti-semite Henry Ford(which is why you should never buy a ford car). Arthur could totally work if he's named after the original Arthur, but then again that might to metta what with the whole Excalibur thing.

Man this is tough! I like Alec a lot but Aden kills it!

William isn't so bad, I haven't done a William I don't think. It is important that he remain Jason for the Consecution Books though. There's some jokes that rely on him using his middle name and some other stuff. Also parallels to Jason and the Argonauts.

Ok, first off, we cannot change Aden. Aden stays Aden, its just him. He wouldn't be Aden anymore if we changed his name. What about Jason Arthur Jusenkyou? Make him go by his middle name to avoid confusion with regular Jason? So he was basically raised Arthur? I dunno. Alec would be really great if not for the whole Aden thing. Uhhhh.... Well the messenger says Aden better stay the same.

You may have veto-privileges but I don't want to change Aden either, plus the messenger has more opportunities to hit me than you, so her opinion counts. I don't like Alec and Aden, it's just not funny in a way thats consistent with the tone of the story. Gotta be something else, something not an A name. Keep looking!

I havent witen anything with him in it at all! and Lily would keep it Conri, Becca would call him Conie just to piss him off and idk about Josh. Ok sO Conri it is, I'll get to work updating all of the childhood stories. this also helps a lot for Jason and Jan, since Jan can call him Conie too :) I'll have to make a few changes in the jason novel too for he and Aden's banter. I think Aden though wouldn't make fun of him like that. About everything else, sure, but Aden wouldn't really find it funny. I need extensive information on becca btw so I can get cracking on the next Consecution book, that's gonna be my project for this year.

Ok, so Lily and Scott! It doesn't work to have them actually have been romantically involved. Remember that to Lily Scott basically died a matter of days before she met Joshua. If they were anything but casual friends she should have been grieving pretty badly at that point.

She was prepaired for it a little more, he knew he was gonna die, and they went like ROMANTIC more like 3 dates, its like the friend that you try dateing and it just ends up bein kind of flat. And yes she was pretty darn broken up thats why the lack of emotional runion in the story Lily didnt work. She needs a hug man!!

I dunno how many times I have to point this out but Jason gives her a hug almost right away! The very first Jason-hug ever!

I'm just not sure about Scott in general, he complicated things a bit.

Hes a good excuse for why shes not awkward around boys, and believe me Jason giving her is why its not gona take weeks to get over, shes got her boys back and her dog so she's gonna be ok :)

i would have thought 10+ years bein caleb's assistant would have helped a lot with not being awkward. I mean she's met all kinds of officials and dignitaries and if she wasn't good at not looking awkward, Claeb would have coauched her.

Good! I got bored while watching Once Upon a Time and I wrote like3 short paragraphs with my pendragon in it :) and I doubt we share more then one, one lives in Idaho now and the other lives on the east coast.

Its not that their was a prejudice so much as a dramatic effort to prove that their wasn't. The late Golden Age was a lot like victorian-era england, there was a lot of revisionism going on. So while it might have been known in her lifetime that she had a torrid love affair with a dragon, a few hundred years later "historians"(they weren't very good right around that time) would have covered it up or written it out of the history books. Not because dragon-human relationships were considered scandelous(they were at the time but nobody would admit it, it was one of those things everyone would talk about how it was ok but nobody dared to do it. The late Golden Age was weird)but because she had never been formally married, so that in itself was scandelous.

What I'd like to do is write it more as a history book. Like Hunter or Harrison or somebody stumbles across a very old book from before the revisions that talks about it, that'd be interesting.

Whats a berserker?

Its a spell used by a warrior-mage(or just a mage cast on another warrior). It makes the target super-fast, super-strong, and super-damage-resistant for a certain time-frame, but also makes them dumber than rocks. Basically you release a berserker when you want maximum damage.

A Berserker yes, but Sol is only half berserker. He's actually really smart, thats how he was able to convince an army of 30,000 to defect with him.

Change sides. He originally started out leading a slave army for the Marcon Alliance(I think it was the marcons). He was also a slave himself but he was good enough to be made a commander and rose through the ranks. When he met Uther, Uther convinced him to take his entire army and join Uther's cause, even though Uther only had 3,000 guys at his disposal and most of them were farmers armed with hoes.

Hunter and Jason found him in the vampire galaxy. Thats where they go after the end of the Course Books.

so hes... Joshuas adopted uncle?............. I'm trying to figure out where he came from still, like in your brain wise.

I needed an anachronistic character for the [[Consecution Books]], so I created Jan. He didn't really come from anywhere specific, although I seem to recall the character Benny from The Boxcar Children as having a friend named Jan, so I think thats where the name originates.

As for Jan himself, his parents were killed by vampires and he was rescused by Hunter and Jason when he was about 4 or 5. They don't actually know how old he is for that reason. They found him during the first tour so he is several years older than Becca.

Then I guess we're gonna have to write a few more stories and add in Jan, I think Lily will find him intertaining, she likes little children that arnt babies cuz they're funny :)

Lily never gets to meet Jan when he's younger, but at the beginning of the second Consecution Book he's actually living at their house. He gets hurt pretty bad in the vampire galaxy, so Hunter sends him to stay with Lily and Joshua to recuperate. He and Becca DO NOT get along but he was marvelous friends with Aden. Lily probably won't like him much when he's older as he basically has all of Hunter and Jason's bad qualities. I'll include his bio for you.

wait but you mention Becca met him when she was little, also if he flirts with any girl wouldnt he go after Becca? Making Aden try and brake his neck?

Becca meets him when she gets babysat aboard the Saratoga(before Aden shows up), then when he comes to stay with them when he's older he is smart enough not to flirt with her in front of Aden. He basically waits until Aden leaves to really flirt with her and even then he sort of knows she's spoken for.

Thats good cuz hes funny and nobodies funny when they're dead

His flirting is really mostly just for show, and a way of teasing her. I'll try and dig out the scene I wrote with them and include it for you later.
