			Beforing taking up [[Echbalder]], Eieber was not known to be proficient in any level of [[Magic]]. It was only after the [[Battle of Eckl-Skaald]] tht he began casting spells and fighting as a battling sorcerer. Eieber [[Battle of Eckl-Skaald#Magical Imbuement Dispute\|claims]] he gained access to magic by stabbing the [[Arch Magus]] and [[Sigil Stone]] while the tower was casting a spell. This is disputed by most mages but agreed upon by historians.

			Later, upon becoming a [[Slayer Dragon]], he became one of the most powerful living mages of the war.

			Most of the information about Eieber was recorded by a [[Paladin]] named [[Saint Oraounge\|Oraounge]], who later became a [[Cardinalism\|Cardinal]] priest and was sainted in the early [[Ages#The Second Age\|Second Age]] over a thousand years after his death. St. Oraounge recorded thousands of pages in [[Sepal-Script]], which was not transcribed into [[Egregts]] until centuries after his death. As Sepal had fallen out of common usage by then, the transcription process along with the degradation of the leaflets introduced numerous mistakes. Some of these were not caught until millennia later.
