New page

Lore and Comprehension are related disciplines, and it is possible for a character to know both. Comprehension is a skill available to everyone and is heavily tied to reading and writing; a score of 1 in Comprehension barely grants the holder an ability to read. While Lore works along similar lines, it is actually a proficiency capped by Intelligence. Knowledge of Lore is important for learning spells. See [[MRPG Magic|Magic]] for more information.

Outside of spellcasting, Lore grants the character knowledge of history and myth. When the party enters a new area, a character with the Lore proficiency may ask the WorldShaper "What do I know about this place?"

'''WorldShaper:''' How much information you provide should be based on the player's Lore proficiency.
*'''Low''' - give them some basic knowledge about the place, keep it vague "The history goes back a long while..."
*'''Medium''' - provide useful specifics, say its been around since about, the people feel this way, its currently...
*'''High''' - too them everything. They already know it.
