Originally fielded during the [[Kamian Succession Wars]], the over-all design characteristics proved so versatile that variants with progressive technology upgrades remained in service all the way to the end of the [[Ages#The Sixth Age|Sixth Age]], and a completely new design(but keeping the old name) was brought out during the [[New Day]].
