The blood of Orins has special magical properties, most easily described as being able to act as both a lock and a key. On a baser level, this allows the Orins to "unlock" their own potential to a greater degree. When used in enchanting or ritual spell-casting, it can create extremely powerful wards. Nearly any enchantment can normally be broken simply by funneling enough energy into the matrix. Not so for enchantments created using Orin blood, these can only be dismantled by another Orinblood or with the use of their blood. Thus the lock and the key.
