Heart of the Journey is a short story from The ByWay to Freedom, book five of the Course Books.
With her family and everyone she loves fighting a desperate battle against the Second Army of Darkness, Emily Jusenkyou is sent off on her own, on a mission to activate the Pillars of Creation.
