FauxDox is the themepark-version of Orthodoxy. A version of necromancy in which the illusion of total orthodox lifestyle is created through technological means. This involves using modern equipment behind the scenes while preserving the illusion.
For example, the temple baths might be powered by electric pumps, heated by modern water heaters, and use municipal water. The bath itself will appear to be fully authentic, with the modern apparatuses hidden from view.
Similarly, the kitchens might be fully modernized and rely on store-bought food, which is prepared using electric stoves and microwaves, then served on hand-made clay plates in a traditional eating hall.
The purpose of a FauxDox environment is to allow a small subset of the population to experience the orthodox lifestyle. This typically happens in a setting where the population is not large enough to support a fully orthodox temple.
