This page details the process and lists the materials required to make a weapon blank to be used in
Blanks are crafted from refined materials, usually just a large quantity of the specific type of material the weapon is mostly made from(Example: an iron longsword would begin with ingots of iron).
Material-qualities can be mixed and matched, but much as the weakest link in a chain, the maximum-quality of the weapon is always the lowest-quality of one ingredient. (Example: a sword requires 5 ingots of steel and 1 band of leather, the crafter uses 4 ingots of Very Fine steel and 1 of Poor steel; the quality of the finished sword is Poor).
