Fire Wool

Fire Wool(which is not actually wool), is a type of fabric made from the flowering bodies of the Goubtutu plant. While terrible for clothing, it's favored by travelers as an alternative to char cloth. Fire Wool repels water, making it easy to keep dry, and is also exceptionally flammable, even from friction. A skilled outdoors men can use any number of means to start a fire quickly, with fire wool at it's base. And, because the material repels water so well and does not loose it's properties once dried, it is incredibly rugged.
