Dwarves

Dwarves represent one of the greatest mysteries of the known worlds. The Book of Lore speaks extensively of a race of short, stout, quasi-magical anthropoids who fought on both sides of the Great Battles, but how much of that information is accurate remains a question of scholarly debate.

There is strong archeological evidence for a widespread race with very distinct cultures.
