The Army of Light is the mythical counterpart to the Army of Darkness. According to the Book of Lore, the final confrontation of the Grey War would be fought by these armies. However, while the Army of Darkness could be released on the world of life a total of three times, the Army of Light could only be unleashed once. It arrival was prophesied to begin a new era for the world of life, and provide the opportunity to set right what was destroyed at the Breaking of the World and destroy the Abyss.
The Army of Light was unleashed against the third Army of Darkness in A.Y. 738, during the Age of the Dragon.
