The Benka is the crest of the Marcon Alliance, used essentially to brand everything they owned. Marconian slaves were tattooed with the Benka, and it was etched into all monuments and stamped on all official documents. The only place it was absent was on the Marcons themselves, as Marconian citizens were not allowed to display a Benka anywhere on their person.
