Blood-Letter

Blood-Letter is an early dark Magic technique that involves using one's own blood both to cast spells and as a weapon. The caster is required to open a vein any time they wish to use the power, so it is often considered a technique of last resort. However, since the power is connected directly to one's own life force, it allows an otherwise fairly weak mage to wield considerable power.
