*[[Healing Stones]] - come in two varieties. A temporary stone just requires a small spark of magic to activate and can then heal simple wounds. These can even sometimes be switched on by people with otherwise no magical talent. Widely used as first aide during the Mage Wars, these still see some limited manufacture(though bandaids are cheaper). A particularly popular variant consisted originally of a glass tube with the stone suspended inside an alchemical fluid that activated upon exposure to air. The modern variant replaces the glass with plastic. The second variety is a permanent enchantment and requires a mage of some skill to use. Power must be applied to item and it then emits a healing light. This type requires considerably more magical power than traditional healing magics. But the mage does not need to be trained in the specific discipline, and using it does not cause physical pain in the user.

This is a list of commonly-found enchanted items and their uses. Some left over from the Mage Wars, others manufactured in the eons since.

  • Lantern Stones - glowing rocks. These are created by producing liquid sunlight and then trapping it in a crystal matrix. They were a very common artificial light source throughout the Mage Wars. Valley Gale Keep in Arindell is lit by them. Some can be ontrolled with an external "control stone" that when touched turns the lantern stone on or off.
  • Intent-Detectors - a type of enchanted stone that will glow or sound a tone whenever it detects ill-intentions. A similar type of enchanted item can also detect weapons. These had many uses during the Mage Wars but found so many roles in modern society that they continue to be manufactured to this day. Any high-security area will use intent-detectors as part of the screening process, usually coupled with the weapon-detectors. Modern-day enchanters even produce magical devices capable of disabling some weapons.
  • Healing Stones - come in two varieties. A temporary stone just requires a small spark of magic to activate and can then heal simple wounds. These can even sometimes be switched on by people with otherwise no magical talent. Widely used as first aid during the Mage Wars, these still see some limited manufacture (though bandaids are cheaper).
  • Blue Foam - a type of enchanted heating apparatus usually used to warm water in a domestic setting.
