The rank system used by the Crimson Blade and Gudersnipe School are somewhat complex, employing a variation that combined traitional navy rates with some army-style ranks.

School Ranks

At Gudersnipe School, all students are considered commissioned officers and use officer ranks exclusevely. However, until they graduate, this "commission" has no barring outside of the school. Occasionally, Crimson Blade regulars will be placed under the command of a student admiral, but this is fairly uncommon. The school itself has a vast and powerful fleet, so there is little need to employ the regulars in most combat situations. More often, a


Space Navy Ranks

Basic Ranks

Recruit Corporal Private

These are the primary ranks used for ground troops and general frunts. Recruits are somtimes even reffered to as "the meat-shield division".

Petty Officer Ranks

Petty Officer Third Class Petty Officer Second Class Petty Officer Third Class Cheif Petty Officer Senior Cheif Petty Officer Master Cheif Petty Officer Cheif of Boat

Petty officers perform the more technical duties on ships and instalations; aquiring such a rank signifies that you have recieved some form of training to do a job and are officially good for more than soaking up bullets. The Cheif of Boat, despite being none-commissioned, is actually a command-level officer and is part of the captain's senior staff.

Admiral Comodore

Admiral/General Distinction

In a prolonged land-based war, most typically in flat dimensions where space-based support is not an option. The General rank might also be used for the commander of a small GS Town where admiral would be inapropriate.
