Culture in the Golden Age and particularly in Arindell revolved heavily around carefully re-creating and celebrating the lives of Eieber and The Ten. There were many interesting and unique cultural norms some of which continued throughout the Ages of the Alliance.

Courtship and Marriage

The Golden Age Courtship Rites were particularly complex and extensive, and while practices did change over the course of the era the basic structure lasted nearly until the Second Age.

High Society

Many of the great adventurers who had fought alongside Eieber in the war came to settle in Arindell and found themselves especially wealthy thanks to the equipment they had obtained during their time as fighters. While the more prized pieces became treasured family heirlooms, much was sold and formed the foundations of great generational family fortunes.

As such, Arindell developed a good-sized population of wealthy aristocrats, who formed the basis for most of the cultural norms.
