Nuclear batteries work by converting energy from a typically low-level radioactive source directly into electricity for various applications. They are built by Consolidated Power and used primarily to run electric cars found commonly throughout the Foundation and Alliance. A single battery can typically supply the energy needs of a mid-sized family sedan for 5 years.
