The [[Planes of Existence]] are different layers of reality(not to be confused with [[Dimensions]] or worlds). The two most well-known are the [[Astral Plane]], the source of [[Magic]], and the [[Material Plane]], where everyone capable of reading this actually lives. Planes intersect with each other in different ways(for example the intersection of the Astral and Material planes allows magic to enter the material plane). Planes are mapped and observed by [[Seers]] and [[Auramancer]]s. Seven planes are generally agreed upon, but standard models dictate there should be eight. Some seers disagree entirely and feel the number is into the dozens or even hundreds. Many site the mysterious [[Void Plane]] as proof that there is more to existence than can be directly observed.
