Standard is the standard language of the verse. It is almost indistinguishable from [[Common]], which is believed to date into [[Antiquity]], despite not being the language of the [[Ancients]].

Standard is a simplified version of [[Scholar]] and was the day-to-day language used by the [[Eladamri]], or the [[Ancients]] as they are more commonly know. Standard is the root-form of [[Common]].
