The Templars are a highly secretive, quasi-mythical organization that existed during the reign of Uther, and afterward: essentially an intelligence agency, but sometimes a society of secret sentinels who protect innocents from monsters, or anticipate crime. Amuro Tenken was sometimes identified as a Templar.
