Mow

Mow are a race of sentient, mobile plants mostly resembling trees. They are native to the continent of Yanomamo, but have traveled off-world. They are capable of strong magic but are not as powerful as humans. The Mow are primarily ecomancers, and are believed to have taught this magic to humans.

Physical Description

Most Mow take on a bipedal form and stand between four and six feet tall. They are comprized of a series of thing branches bound with vines. The true form of the Mow is not known; and it believed they build bodies by manipulating plants. Indeed, Mow can be made from any flora and tend to 'construct' themselves out of locally indigenous plants.

When they need to work on a new body, heal, or just rest a while, Mow will take root. They can still typically be distinguished from ordinary trees, but a Mow that has been in place for some time may be difficult to spot.

Mow have no heads, no faces, and no eyes. They sense the world around them through their magic and speak similarly. This can make interactions with them very disconcerting.
