Red Oroche

Red Oroche, sometimes called Oroche Red or Orochi Red, is an alchemical reagent which disrupts magic. It has similar properties to and is used in the production of Red Thread. On its own Oroche Red can be used to temporarily disable a mage, acting as a cheap substitute for anti-magic tinctures. Oroche Red is a common fixitive ingredient in alchemical enchanting.

It can also be used to subdue magic users based on contiguous areas of coverage. A fine spray of Red Oroche will not do anything, but a quarter-sized area of skin covered will usually stop a magic user for a few days at a time.

Red Oroche is the primary ingredient in Red Thread.
