Shirt sleeve environment

In shirt sleeve environment is an area of an aircraft or spacecraft in which no special protective equipment is required. This may include unpresurized aircraft or the stardocks of space stations.

The term shirt-sleeve is also often used to describe workers on the interior of a space station who's job does not require an EVA. It is particularly common among those who work inside but communicate or interact with those outside. For example, Utopia Gregaria has a position called Shirt-Sleeve Controller, which described individuals who provide logistical support to EVA workers in the stardocks outside.
