Song of Arkentur

The Song of Arkentur is a forged Mithril Dragon Hammer that belongs to the Order of the Cardinal Star. It is widely regarded as the most valuable single object in the Known Worlds.

The origins of the hammer are unknown. The Paladins treat it as a holy relic, and object of great reverence, and would consider removing it from the shrine only as a last resort. It is said to be kept in an altar in a small chapel deep in their headquarters' Tabernacle, with very few outsiders ever given the opportunity to view it. It is described as being covered in a light patina; which, given the incredible corrosion-resistant properties of mithril, would point to it being tens of thousands of years old.

While the hammer was known to exist during the Mage Wars, no clear estimate of its true age exists. Many scholars have speculated that it is indeed a Relic from the Age of Myth, but the church has refused comment. No pictures of the object exist to confirm its appearance.
