Hiayto Merrick was believed to be the leader of the Society of Assassins during the early Second Age. He was the only representative of the organization ever to come forward publicly. Very little is known about his life, as he was born into the Society. He was later discovered to be no more than a low-level operative, instructed to divert attention by claiming to be the leader.
