Robes are not armor. They may cover the same spots on or about a person, but robes are not considered armor.

Robes are for mages (or anyone else too lazy to learn an armor proficiency). They require no special abilities to wear, and primarily function as something to hold enchantments and otherwise provide the mage with non-vital body-covering.

Robes are made primarily from cloth, but include some leather, as well as using gemstones from Enchanting.

The pieces of the mage robe are:

  • Cowl
  • Gloves
  • Bracers
  • Shoes
  • Inner Skirt
  • Outer Skirt
  • Robe
  • Tunic
