Scroll Rules: Scrolls are a use item, used without equipping it. Using the scroll destroys it. Each scroll has a difficulty rating, this is used when attempting to transcribe it. The uses vary: a scroll may give a password to open a door; cast a spell; break a curse; reveal important information about the current quest; contain a map; or hold messages for the PCs, among other things.
