A spellbook is where a mage stores his or her magical spells. Each book can hold a specific number of spells, some have additional special properties.

If the spellbook has any kind of binding, E.G. a thing around it, the character may weave a simple spell to hold it shut, locking it so none but him may open it.

Basic SpellBooks

  • My First Spellbook
    • A very basic spellcasting aid with no unusual properties. The cover contains a poorly-drawn image of cartoon dog with a wizard hat and wand, and has the words 'I can cast magic spells' written in large, friendly letters.
      • Holds 12 spells
  • Simple Spellbook
    • A plain, leather-bound volume of little note, bound with a leather strap.
      • Holds 12 spells.
  • Fine Spellbook
  • A hand-stitched, leather-bound tome with a an etched cover and a leather tie-hinge to hold it shut.
      • Holds 20 spells.
  • Very Fine Spellbook
    • A high-end volume, a quality piece of craftsmanship. The cover is inscribed with metal in a detailed shape, and the spine is re-inforced. A large metal hinge with a lock holds it shut.
