'Machello' is a mechanical monster;–– possibly, an automated mech;–– built by the Iname. It appears in the short story Aspect of Death.
Appearance and Behavior
The Machello is described as a therapod-like monster with long arms and short legs, possessed of weapons in a long tail. It is almost invulnerable and apparently unaffected by decay; and upon activation, attacks every foreign machine, structure, or apparatus it encounters. It is armored in multiple dimensions, whereof an attacking missile strikes only one. A poem describes it:
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry; all it does, from dawn to dusk, is make the soldiers die.
Appearance in Story
The Machello was created by the Iname, but captured by the Eladamri and imprisoned under ground. There, it was recovered in the Sixth Age by Dr. Nadel (an Iname masquerading as an archeologist), and destroyed by Hunter Jusenkyou and Jason Bur'I.
