Late in the Sixth Age, Gudersnipe students developed a new type of armor designed to be able to learn and remember so that it could better defend against attacks. They called this system mobiru after the enchanted weapons created during the Mage Wars.

Mobiru, or "memory" armor is completely technological in nature. It cannot be scaled down to be worn by a person and was intended for use on combat mechs and starships.

However, the technology did not scale up well enough to be used on starships, and was to heavy for adoption on fighters. It was eventually deemed to complex for mass production and thus saw little deployment on mechs.

Finally, in terms of it's ability to protect, the Mobiru armor was inferior to the self-repairing exoskins already in use on most mechs, making the Mobiru technology technically useless.

It did have one advantage, however, as a psychological edge: Mobiru systems could supposedly learn and remember attacks, leading those fighting against them to wonder if they could even damage the suit a second time.
