A passer is a non-human sentient lifeform that can "pass" for human in a crowd. These differ from non-passers, who cannot.

Most passers are genetically similar enough to mate with humans and usually can breed with no harm to their offspring. Since there is no formal definition for what constitutes a "passer" or a "human", no scientific studies have been preformed in this area.

Examples

The Kami are an example of a passer. On the surface, they appear perfectly human, except for facial and body markings that look like tattoos. Inside, Kamians have an eight-chambered heart and dramatically different blood chemistry. There are no recorded incidents of Kamians mating with humans.
