Passer

A passer is a non-human sentient lifeform that can "pass" for human in a crowd. These differ from non-passers, who cannot.

Most passers are genetically similar enough to mate with humans and usually can breed with no harm to their offspring. Since there is no formal definition of "passer" or "human", no scientific studies have been performed in this area. Duality and human-form dragon-halves do not count as passers.

Examples

Kami

The Kami are an example of a passer. On the surface, they appear perfectly human, except for facial and body markings that look like tattoos. Inside, Kamians have an eight-chambered heart and dramatically different blood chemistry. There are no recorded incidents of Kamians mating with humans.

Hermen Scopal

Admiral Commodore Hermen Scopal was a Crimson Blade admiral who is is best known for recieving the most promotions of any Crimson Blader in history, having joined as a recruit and worked his way to one of the highest ranks. Hermen belonged to an un-named species of passer whose primary distinction is long life. Hermen lived 224 years, of which 201 were spent as a member of the Crimson Blade.
