A fleet revision is a new design series of warships by the Gudersnipe Foundation. Designs are carried out by students at Gudersnipe School under the direction of an Instructor for whom the revision is usually named.

Basic Information

There is no set schedule though revisions tend to happen every 30-50 years. Small changes to ship designs will be made through the model's production history, but a true fleet revision involves the indrocution of whole new designs.

Though not often radically different, the key element is that a fleet revision begins work from the ground up, encorporating existing elements and standards, but trying to find a new approach to design, construction, and deployment. A typical fleet revision might produce thousands of new designs, with only a small handful making it all the way to production.

Because all of the design material is incorporated into the Gudersnipe Database, each design is given an identifier which, if the ship reaches production, becomes part of the finished vessel's registry number. This allows any ship to be easily tracked back to its design roots.

The Nelson Revision

The Nelson Revision eventually produced six standard designs that were highly sought-after by both Crimson Blade and Gudersnipe School units. Among them, the N-808-B is considered quite the flop.
