G.Y. System

The G.Y. or Gudersnipe Year system is a callender sometimes employed by the Gudersnipe Foundation. It uses a 36-hour day, a 40-day month, and a 10-month, 400-day year. Because of the complexities of the system, dates do not conform easily to any other callender, and most G.Y. dates are completely useless.

Even the famed Gudersnipe Database does not offer the G.Y. system, instead prefering the much more useful B.G.A. and A.Y. systems.

Gudersnipe School Proper is the only place in the verse where the system is in daily use, and even there it is largely ignored. The origin and purpose of the G.Y. system is unknown, though it is theorized that the G.S.S. Geomancer originally used this time to coordinate it's attacks across multiple dimensions.
