MRPG Harmony

Each character has a harmony, or personal theme song. When active, the harmony grants powerful effects. Harmonies are activated as a free action and do not have a cool down. The ability can be used exactly once per day.

Harmonies

  • Anthem
    • Major Chord: You surround yourself with an ethereal shield, twisting your will into a wall of force. All physical attacks miss completely. All Mortal and Elemental damage is negated. You still take damage from Positive and Negative sources, as well as harmful spell effects. Lasts 3 rounds.
      • Minor Chord I: The duration increases to 5 rounds, and includes immunity to Positive and Negative damage.
      • Minor Chord II: Harmful spell effects are negated.
      • Minor Chord III: The duration increases to 8 rounds
  • Arpeggio
    • Major Chord: You become completely invisible for 3 rounds. This is more powerful than normal invisibility, which can be overcome by magical seeing effects. Since you are invisible, you cannot be the target of magical spells or abilities.
      • Minor Chord I: In addition to invisibility, you become partially incorporeal to attacks, making weapons pass through you.
      • Minor Chord II: The duration increases to 5 rounds.
      • Minor Chord III: The duration increases to 8 rounds. You cannot be affected by AOE spells. You are immune to Positive and Light AOE damage, but can still be Mortal and Elemental effects.
  • Kanon
    • Major Chord: For 3 rounds, you heal for 1d6 + 1d6 per rank at the beginning of the round.
      • Minor Chord I: Duration increases to 5 rounds.
      • Minor Chord II: Healing increases to d8.
      • Minor Chord III: Duration increases to 8 rounds, dice increases to d10
  • Vibrato:
    • Major Chord: For 3 rounds, you loose the ability to die. Death effects and lethal damage do not kill you. You can still be killed by "destroy" effects or anything that would rend your mortal body asunder. Since it is impossible to have negative health, your hit points cannot drop bellow 0. If your HP is still at 0 when the song ends, you die.
      • Minor Chord I: Duration increases to 5 rounds.
      • Minor Chord II: Duration increases to 8 rounds.
      • Minor Chord III: Duration increases to 11 rounds. You become wrapped in light, which holds back destroy effects for the duration of the song.
  • Allegro:
    • Major Chord: For 3 rounds, you gain double your Speed stat and triple movement speed.
      • Minor Chord I: Each round Allegro is in effect, you gain 1 additional attack as a free action.
      • Minor Chord II: Duration increases to 5 rounds.
      • Minor Chord III: Duration increases to 8 rounds.
  • Drammatico
    • Major Chord: For 3 rounds, you summon a mystic wind that turns small objects away. Leaves swirl around you, arrows pass by unable to find their target. Any ranged weapon is deflected.
      • Minor Chord I: Duration increases to 5 rounds. Ranged spells are deflected as well.
      • Minor Chord II: Duration increases to 8 rounds.
      • Minor Chord III: While this harmony is active, you push back enemies within three feet, and gain +50 DV.
  • Monophonic
    • Major Chord: For 3 rounds, your weapons feel to you as light as feathers, yet become harder than anvils to your enemies. On melee attacks, you gain +10 and +10 per Rank AV and 1 additional damage dice. You may also make an additional attack as a free action.
      • Minor Chord I: Duration increases to 5 rounds.
      • Minor Chord II: Duration increases to 8 rounds.
      • Minor Chord III: +100 AV, and AV bonuses continue until combat ends.
  • Chorus
    • Major Chord: For 3 rounds, whenever you cast a spell, the cool down is reduced by 1.
      • Minor Chord I: You gain 1 additional active cool down, but only while the harmony is in effect.
      • Minor Chord II: Duration increases to 5 rounds.
      • Minor Chord III: Duration increases to 8 rounds.
