The Saber Rattler is a multi-role fighter-bomber operated by the Gudersnipe Foundation, and, while not as popular or durable as the Harpy still saw considerable use in many theaters. The Saber Rattler is the first truly effective atmospheric and space bomber.

History

With the successful deployment of the Kangaroo air-support fighter, the Foundation saw a need to develop more space-based aircraft for rapid deployment/rapid response. Developed by Gudersnipe School, the team was initially tasked with building a penetration/saturation bomber that would follow a similar flight pattern to the Kangaroo.

Said team, however, almost immediately commented that such a bomber was a complete waste of time, seeing as orbital bombardment by battery ships was already a thing. When the Foundation didn't listen to them, the students went ahead and designed a much more versatile starcraft.

Specifications

The Saber Rattler uses six Harpy-derived engines and has four times the weapon's payload.
