Daylight is a short story from The Concourse to Victory, third volume in the Course Books series. It focuses on a pair of supposed Lycanthropes obtained by the Gudersnipe Foundation. One of them proves a Loup Garoux, while the other is a Loup Garoux/Lycanthrope hybrid. This introduces the character Lily McConery, who becomes a main character. Her origin story can be found in GavelGavel.
The immediate precursor (in story-order) also introduces the idea of Lycanthropes, the theory of Magic, the 'Detect Evil' spell, and the Counting House to the Course Books.
