Experience is handled significantly differently in Mage Wars PnP over the MMO. Chiefly, XP is only awarded at the end of a play time, and all players receive the same XP. The Game Master(or storyteller, or whatever term I go with) chooses the amount of XP to award based on how well the party did, how much they coperated, the total number of max-level flourishes, and whatever other factors they see fit. Completing an adventure will of course come with bonuses.
The ultimate XP rate should be determined by how fast the GM wants the player-characters to level. In tabletop games, the journey is the most important part.
