Fade Out is a short story from The ByWay to Freedom, volume V of the Course Books. This particular story focuses on Naomi Jusenkyou, who was not involved in the events at the end of The Inclination to Destiny and is only now discovering how the world is falling to Samuel Fate. After being shunned by her nephew, Joshua, who is leaving for Gudersnipe School, Naomi sets out to back the Alliance resistance.
