Druids are a race of near-human Passers found in pockets throughout the known worlds. They are decendants of human and Elf populations that intermixed, over the years forming a distinct race.

Physical Characteristics

Descriptions vary widely between population groups, as they are often so far removed as to share no common ancestry, only a common origin. Typically, druids are slight of build, lacking in physical strength and stamina. They have ears that are more rounded at the bottom(missing the dangling lobe of a human ear) and come to a pronounced point at the top.

The ear makes for a good indicator of the amount of elf DNA present in the subject. The more elongated and pointed, the more elven, the more pronounced the lobe and milder the point, the more human.

Lifespan

Druids are perhaps best-known for being remarkably long-lived. A typical druish lifespan is around 200 years. With diet and proper medical care, they can easily hit spans of close to 300. Hermen Scopal is a popular example, though human enough to pass without suspicion, he lived for 224 years.

Magic

During the Mage Wars, Druids were notorious Ecomancers and Anomancers. A deep connection to nature(as evidenced by their name) is often sighted as giving them an advantage in these areas. Interestingly, the name Druid actually predates the Mage Wars and Age of Darkness. There is evidence that populations of druids existed back in Antiquity, though they probably do not date much further back than Classic Antiquity.
