A New Darkness is a short story slated for the second edition of The Path to Ascension, and is written to replace The Dark Lord Nimi. The plot is effectively the same, but the events are slightly different. Also explained is exactly "how" Lina Rowen attained the power of one of the Four Kings of the Last Dynasty(she stole it from a museum).
