The Thenius is a river on the south side of the Stormreaver Range, fed by Lake Bara. The river was known in old times and is is believed that the city-state of Asysias(a possible location for High Tower was along its banks.
The river has shifted numerous times during recorded history, sometimes changing its course by hundreds of miles. This is over the course of countless centuries.
In the Fourth Age, the river was canalized, allowing large ships from the Sword Coast access to the Three Baras and through the Upper Thenius too Stormreaver Valley via a system of locks.
