G.S.S. Your Face And Fire Prototype

The G.S.S. YFAF was a prototype version of the C.B.S. Your Face And Fire, built originally as part of the design competition and never formally completed. As such, it was never added to the formal naval registry, and was officially regarded as "scrapped in production". The nearly finished hull was taken to Gudersnipe School as training ship.

Usage

Having successfully secured an unregistered ultra-heavy dreadnaut, students at Gudersnipe School immediately set about cramming as many weapons as they could into the brave little hull. The gravitational mass-displacement drive was replaced with a much more powerful Deuterium Drive, giving the ship unprecedented speed for her size. The main cannon(the reason the original design lost out on becoming a production-class ship) was upgraded to become a Hybrid cannon, and various other weapon systems were augmented and upgraded.

The finished version is also said to have sported as many as eighteen Bedlam launchers, including a turret-based quad launcher. All were of the 6,000 round per-minute variety.

Operational History

The school operated the vessel as a "black ship" with no formal registry. It was deployed by GATE and fielded under a variety of names. The ship did see combat at several key battles during the Kamian Succession Wars and remained in service after the war's end.
