Mageblade

A Mageblade is a specific type of battling sorcerer who uses sword techniques to produce spellforms and cast spells. The term originates with Kosta Guitain of the Wizard Breakers, though he is not believed to have originated the technique. 'Mageblade' was such a specialized discipline that earned its own distinction.

The use of magic acquired through swordsmanship also heavily aided the Mageblade in learning new spells that did not call for a sword, making them especially potent in close-quarters combat. A particularly potent Mageblade might blur the lines with a Battling Sorcerer. The technique was more common with lesser-path mages.
