The Reunion of the Eighth Power is a pivotal story from The Path to Ascension, wherein Hunter's Gudersnipe team, separated for a decade, reunites to help Hunter fight Ryoga and the Army of Darkness.
This story is also the key transition between the Sixth Age and the Age of the Dragon, with the death of Hokori and most of the Slayer Dragons as the divisive point.
In story-order, this is the first appearance of Metanie Bur'I and Rebecca Bur'I, and is also the first chronological appearance of Rebecca. Metanie first appears chronologically in Dusk, from The Concourse to Victory.
