The Slayer Dragons is a short story from The Path to Ascension, volume one of the Course Books. This is the first story-order appearance of the Slayer Dragons as well as Lina Rowen, though Hokori apears chronologically before this in Line in the Sand from The Road to War.
The story covers Hunter's arival in Arindell all the way through his completion of the first Trial. This is also the story in which it is first revealed that he can read the language of Antiquity.
The story Not Hunting from The Inclination to Destiny takes place chronologically immediately before The Slayer Dragons, one story quite literally begining where the second ended.
